This Privacy Policy explains how Clear Air Sailing LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Clear Air mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

01 Information We Collect

We collect only what the App needs to provide race coaching:

• Account information. The App can be used without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google to create and identify your account. We do not receive your Google password and cannot access your Gmail, Google Drive, or other Google data.
• Race logs and searches. When you save race entries, log results, ask coaching questions, or request briefings, that information is stored so the App can personalize future coaching for you.
• Venue and race details you enter. Information such as venue names, dates, conditions, boat class, and times that you provide.
• Location. If you use the "Near me" feature or on-the-water tools, the App accesses your device's location to find nearby venues and power features such as start-line analysis. Location is used when you request it and is not continuously tracked in the background.
• Camera. If you use the start-line sighting tool, the App uses your camera to let you aim at the windward mark. Camera images are processed on your device in real time and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

We do not access your contact list or photo library. Subscription payments, if you subscribe, are processed by Google Play — we do not receive or store your card details.

02 How We Use Your Information

• To generate personalized pre-race briefings and tactical coaching.
• To create and maintain your account and sync your data across devices when you sign in.
• To find sailing venues near your location when you request it.
• To remember your past races and searches so coaching improves over time.
• To process your subscription, if you choose to subscribe.
• To diagnose problems and improve the App's reliability.

03 Third-Party Services

To provide the App's features, relevant information is shared with trusted service providers who process it only to perform services for us:

• Google. Provides optional Sign-In (your name and email) and, if you subscribe, subscription billing through Google Play.
• AI processing. The coaching questions you ask and the race and conditions details used for briefings are sent to our AI language model provider to generate responses. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your questions.
• Weather data. We retrieve forecast and conditions data from third-party weather providers based on the venue and time you specify.
• Hosting and storage. Your saved data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure operated on our behalf.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

04 Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secured cloud services and protected with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encrypted storage of credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

05 Data Retention

We keep your account information, race logs, and searches for as long as you use the App so that coaching remains personalized. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below, and we will remove it from our active systems.

06 Your Choices

• You can use the App anonymously without signing in.
• You can decline or revoke location and camera permissions at any time in your device settings; the App remains usable, though the related features will not function.
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your stored data by emailing us.

07 Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

08 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
